GUJRANWALA, Oct 29: Four policemen, including an inspector, were dismissed while a sub-inspector demoted for corruption and negligence by the DIG here on Wednesday.
DIG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema got conducted an inquiry after receiving complaints against these policemen and dismissed Satellite Town inspector Israr Hussain, Civil Lines SI Tahir Mehmood, and Model Town constables Shaukat Ali and Iftikhar Hussain.
The DIG also demoted SI Muhammad Ikram.
Carrying out court orders, Cantonment police sub-inspector M Yousaf was booked and SHO Abdul Hamid Virk issued a show-cause notice for illegally detaining two brothers, Mujahid and Altaf. — Correspondent
