KARACHI, Oct 28: Karachi United FC beat Usmanabad Union 3-0, Karachi Kickers triumphed against Nazimabad FC 2-1 and District Central champions Maymar Sports edged past Baloch Mujahid in the three KASB Premier League Football (PLF) matches played at the CDGK Stadium on Monday.

This was Karachi United’s second successive win, taking them a step closer towards being included in the top eight teams with eight points. Karachi United came into action after a barren first half. Striker Daniyal Alvi scored two goals (61st and 72nd minutes) while substitute striker Mohammad Azhar contributed one in the 81st minute. Opponents Usmanabad Union, meanwhile, couldn’t score any.

The second match between District East champions Karachi Kickers and Nazimabad FC saw the first goal happening for the winners in the 28th minute through their striker Abdullah Amin but parity was restored 12 minutes later when Nazimabad FC’s left fullback Moiz Khan’s cross was ably converted by their striker Amir Shahzad. The score at interval was 1-1.

The winning goal for Kickers came in the 76th minute through their substitute midfielder Mohammad Khan. The day’s last encounter between District Central champions Maymar Sports and Baloch Mujahid produced much excitement for the soccer fans present on the occasion with the decider coming in the 90th minute.

Both outfits were 1-1 at interval after striker Nur Ali scored for Maymar in the 17th minute and Baloch Mujahid’s skipper and striker Taj Mohammad equalised in the 34th.

The 90th minute saw Baloch Mujahid’s defender Fahim Abbas tackling Maymar’s striker Mohammad Naseem rather dangerously inside the box as a result of which referee Mohammad Muslim awarded a penalty kick to Maymar, taken by their midfielder Mohammad Amin.
