SAHIWAL, Oct 28: The district government in collaboration with the agriculture department officials organised a rally to motivate wheat growers to sow wheat at the maximum area in the district here on Tuesday.

The mobilisation of growers is part of a Punjab government’s plan to convince the growers for maximum cultivation of wheat crops.

The rally was attended by scores of wheat farmers, agriculture department officers and the public.

The Sahiwal district coordination officer, Muhammad Khan Khichi, said that all government departments would help the farmers get agriculture inputs.

The inputs include fertiliser, and seeds at controlled prices. He also assured them of availability of water.
