KARACHI: Three die in accidents

KARACHI, Oct 28: Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents in the city on Tuesday.

Police said two men riding on a motorcycle were crushed to death by a fast-moving truck on Hub River Road. The offending vehicle sped away.

The accident caused a traffic jam on the road till the arrival of ambulances at the spot.

The victims were identified as Mohammad Gul, 40, and Naimatullah, 35, both residents of Hub Chowki.

Police said the bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities. Later they were handed over to their families, the police said.

In another accident in Korangi, Khuda Bux, 35, died in a hit-and-run accident in Nasir Colony, the police said.

Police said the victim, resident of Chakra Goth, was crossing the main road when the accident took place.

The police took the body to the Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities.
