PESHAWAR: Oct 25: The leaders of different traders’ organisations have expressed concern over the increasing kidnapping incidents in the provincial capital and asked the government to take effective steps for recovery and protection of the victims.

NWFP general-secretary Markazi Anjuman Tajiran Sharafat Ali Mubarak and Anjuman-i-Tajiran Peshawar vice-president Shaukat Ali Khan on Saturday claimed that people were being kidnapped at gunpoint from different areas and the administration had turned a blind eye towards the crime.

They said the worst sufferers were the businessmen who were unable to continue their business activities unguarded as a result the business environment was badly affected.
