QUETTA, Oct 24: National Party chief Senator Abdul Malik Baloch has called upon the government to resolve the Balochistan issue politically saying that the military operation and arrest of political workers have complicated the issue.

Addressing a news conference at the press club on Friday, he said his party believed in democratic struggle to achieve rights.

On this occasion, Prof Riaz Baloch, Dr Hussain Baloch and Dr Iqbal Baloch joined the party.

Senator Malik said the present democratic government should halt military operation in the province which was launched during military dictatorship.

He said that displaced people of Dera Bugti and Kohlu districts were living in miserable conditions in other areas and the government must take steps to rehabilitate them in their home districts.

The Senator said that his party would not compromise on national rights and resources of the Baloch. Prof Riaz Ahmed, Dr Hussain Baloch and Dr Iqbal Baloch said that they had joined the party because its leadership had always struggled for the Baloch rights.
