MIRPURKHAS: Cleanliness drive

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 24: Mirpurkhas taluka municipal administration launched cleanliness drive from union council No-1 here on Friday.

Taluka Nazim Ghulam Dastagir Khan inaugurated the cleanliness week at a ceremony held at Akbari chowk, Nai Para. On this occasion, UC nazims, notables, representatives of traders and social workers were also present.

Taluka Nazim said that at Nulla gang, sanitary staff, tractors, loaders, tractor trolleys and pressure pumps were being used to clean the city. He said that during the drive anti-mosquito spray and perfume spray would also be carried in the city areas.

RAIDS: Special judicial magistrate and mukhtiarkar revenue Mirpurkhas conducted raids at different chakkis in the city to check flour prices and found that various chakki owners were over charging from flour buyers.

According to a handout issued here on Friday, special judicial magistrate slapped a fine of Rs3,400 on different chakki owners.
