HYDERABAD, Oct 23: EDO, planning and finance, Tando Allahyar district, Zulifqar Ali Shahwani, has advised the public representatives of local government to motivate people for girls’ education in their areas.

He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of two-day training to the nazims and naib nazims of taluka and union councils organized by the PRD department and the Sindh Civil Service and Local Government Academy.

He said that under the devolved system of government, the public representatives had opportunities and authority, especially in the fields of education and health, and added that the opportunities must be availed with required skills and efficiency.

He said that the training programmes would prove instrumental for the grooming of public representatives and women councillors but it could be fruitful only when councillors applied their ability in the field.
