LAHORE, Oct 21: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday restrained the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) from issuing electricity bills according to revised power tariff to ICC Textile Mills on a contempt petition moved by the management.

The counsel for the petitioner submitted that Lesco had issued electricity bills to the company in accordance with the revised commercial tariff in violation of the directives of the court. The respondent had refused to revise the bill despite being approached by the legal adviser of the company.

Meanwhile, another 32 industrial units challenged the revised power tariff. Their petitions will come up for hearing along with other similar petitions on Nov 3.
