KARACHI, Oct 19: Two minibuses were set on fire in separate parts of the city on Sunday.

Witnesses said a fast-moving Khan Coach knocked down a motorcyclist in Surjani Town. They said the onlookers caught the minibus driver and gave him a hiding as the wounded victim was taken to hospital in a rickshaw.

The witnesses said the people waited for the police, who did not reach the spot in time.

They said the driver slipped away from the spot as the unruly people torched his vehicle.

The police said the wounded victim was not brought to any of the three hospitals dealing with medico-legal cases.

No case was registered as the police were trying to locate the injured motorcyclist, identified as Dilawar.

In another accident, a Seven Star coach hit a motorcyclist in Orangi Extension. The people set ablaze the vehicle as the driver fled, abandoning his vehicle.
