Dr Asim Hussain to head HEC

ISLAMABAD, Oct 18: The name of Dr Asim Hussain as new chairman Higher Education Commission has been finalised and a notification in this regard is likely to be issued on Monday.

According to sources, the names of Dr Hussain, Dr Javed Leghari and Sherry Tahirkheli were sent to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani for appointing one of them as chairman HEC.

At present, Dr Hussain is working as chancellor Ziauddin University Karachi.—Online
