15 Mepco SDOs suspended

MULTAN, Oct 17: Fifteen Mepco assistant managers operations (SDOs) have been suspended from service for their failure to control line losses and inefficiency.

According to a press release issued by Mepco public relations deputy manager here on Friday, Chief Executive Muhammad Amin Sahi suspended from service Muhammad Faisal Zaffar and Abdul Hakeem of Multan Circle, Nusrat Ahmed Khan of Vehari, Muhammad Hasnain Shakeel and Jahangir Ahmed Buzdar of Dera Ghazi Khan, Sajjad Hussain Tariq, Sajid Naveed Ahmed Babar, Nazeer Ahmed Gopang and Sajid Sallahuddin of Muzaffargarh, Muhammad Rafiq Kanwal and Imtiaz Ahmed Memon of Bahawalpur, Muhammad Tanveer Abid, Sajjad Hussain and Ghulam Rasool Sukhera of Bahawalnagar, and Suhail Bashir of Sahiwal Circle.

According to the press release, Mepco’s central monitoring and surveillance checking team has fined around Rs 450,000 to 150 power thieves in September.—Staff Correspondent
