QUETTA, Oct 15: Security forces have arrested 174 Afghans for illegally entering Pakistan.

Official sources said the arrests were made by Frontier Corps personnel during raids in Chaman, Qila Abdullah and Chagai over the past five days.

The Afghans have been booked under the Foreigner’s Act and handed over to officials concerned for interrogation.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened in border areas and more checkpoints have been set up to prevent illegal border crossings.
