HYDERABAD, Oct 15: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed has expressed dissatisfaction over in-camera briefing being given to MNAs and senators on the ground that parliamentarians are scared of the US.

He was speaking to a gathering at Hyderabad railway station on his arrival from Peshawar during last leg of his party’s train march on Wednesday.

He said: “We need to assert ourselves and follow the spirit of jihad then no power on earth or any kind of weaponry can defeat us”, he said.

He urged the people to join the JI, saying that it could bring about Islamic revolution and lead to emancipation of people, particularly poorest of the poor. He said that the JI could put an end to capitalism and feudal system in the country.

He said that the country was founded after sacrifices of millions of people just for the rule of Allah Almighty but, unfortunately, people were pitted against each other.

He said that “we are forming lashkars to kill our own brethren in tribal areas while Nato forces were killing people through their missiles for the past several months”. Not only this, he said, army was also killing its own

people.

He said that economy of the country had been destroyed while US-sponsored policies are being introduced here.

He lambasted leadership of the country on the ground that political leaders had confined themselves to their homes. “President and the prime minister are not ready to come in public and that’s why we decided to give a ray of hope among people by launching the train march”, he said.

Terming train march highly successful, Qazi said that people loved JI which could keep people united on one platform and added that it doesn’t believe in parochialism.

He rejected reports about talbanisation. He, however, foresaw an Islamic revolution which would herald an era of justice and equity, especially for poor.

He stated that $100 billion of US aid would be given only on the basis that army should continue its operation against their own people by using gunship helicopters so that there should be lawlessness everywhere and entrepreneurs should leave the country.

He said that Pakistan was faced with energy crisis as nine thermal power stations are lying closed while one station of Sukkur was not being deliberately opened.

Our Nawabshah correspondent add: Earlier, speaking at Nawabshah railway station, Mr Ahmed said that people should get ready for an Islamic revolution as there was lawlessness and poverty and innocent people were being killed.

He said that the government was killing innocent people on behest of the USA and has failed to protect the lives and property of citizens and there would be no change until rulers stops following the US policies. He said that the US was enemy of Islam and the war on terror was war against Islam.

He said that looters and dacoits were ruling the country who had bought palaces and deposited huge accounts in Swiss Bank from the money of public. He said that the government handed over the daughter of Pakistan and Sindh, Dr Aafia Siddiqui, to US for dollars who should be brought back to the country.

He said that the great scientist Dr Qadeer was in illegal detention for years and was even not allowed to offer Eid prayers.

He said that leadership of Muslim countries was in the hands of traitors, who were the slaves of US. He said that JI would struggle against US in light of the Islamic teachings and he wanted to tell the world that Islam was a peaceful religion.

JI naib ameer Liaquat Baloch said that the government should bring an end to army operations in NWFP and Fata and give independence to judiciary.
