KARACHI, Oct 15: Eight ships including three cement loaders are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Ninos, APL Shenzhen, Hansa Liberty and Hyundai Emperor to unload and load containers, Dolphina to offload palm oil and Makran for repairs were berthed after the departure of as many on Wednesday.

The departing ships were led by Sima Sahba, Kota Puri, APL Shenzhen, Sanie, Mol Ability and Oel Transworld, while Hyundai Emperor, Ninos, Cap Colorado, Samsun Pioneer, Cielo Di Venzia and Sea Bridge are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 98,197 tons comprising 39,874 tons of export cargo and 58,323 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Pacific Arrow, Flag Investor and Lucky Arrow to load 9,000, 19,500 and 11,500 tons of cement respectively, Golden Top to load 3,000 tons of ethanol, Saigon Express and APL Cairo with containers and Meridian Navigator with steel coils.
