NAWABSHAH, May 9: A man and a woman were killed on the pretext of Karo-kari in Deh 59 Nusrat, near Mohammad Ali Narejo village, Bandhi, on Wednesday.

The Hakimzadi Narejo, 16, was killed by three accused namely Ghulam Shabbir, Zameer and Abdul Ghaffar, all Narejo by caste.

Later, the accused attacked Abdul Majeed Chandio near 7RD watercourse in Deh 59 Nusrat with axes and after injuring him, shot him dead and escaped.

Noor Mohammad Chandio, father of Abdul Majeed, has lodged an FIR with the Bandhi police.

CRUSHED: Ali Mohammad Qureshi, 65, resident of Old Nawabshah, was crushed to death under the wheels of Karachi-bound Faisalabad Express near the Nawabshah railway station on Thursday.—Correspondent
