Young doctors’ warning to govt

Published October 13, 2008

LAHORE, Oct 12: Young doctors will take out rallies in all teaching hospitals of Punjab on Thursday to press the government to accept their demands.

The Young Doctors Association said on Sunday that doctors had been protesting peacefully for the last couple of months, but the government was not heeding to their demands.

Their main demands are increase in salary, improvement in service structure and security at workplace.

The association said doctors would go on strike if the government did not accept their demands.
