‘Police to protect citizens’

ISLAMABAD, Oct 12: The capital police are taking all measures to protect life and property of the citizens and combat militancy.

This was stated by Inspector General of Police Syed Asghar Raza Gardezi while speaking at the Police Darbar held at the Islamabad Traffic Police office here on Sunday.

The IG urged the police to devote themselves to the services of the people and adopt pro-friendly attitude towards the people.

On the occasion, SSP Traffic Muhammad Zubair Hashmi said holding of such Darbars were pivotal for creating mutual understating between various police units.

He said the ITP would make all efforts to strengthen the police units and issued orders for the resolution of the problems confronting the police personnel.
