BUCHAREST, Oct 8: Rapid Bucharest have lifted their suspension on Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro, a club official said on Wednesday.

Peseiro led the team’s training session in the morning but both he and Rapid declined to comment on the suspension the club imposed on him following their UEFA Cup elimination last week or why they have decided to reinstate him.

Rapid suspended Peseiro after about 1,000 fans staged a violent protest following the team’s 2-1 aggregate loss to VfL Wolfsburg in their UEFA Cup first round tie.—Reuters
