BADIN, Oct 8: Four people, including a woman died and another breathed his last due to cardiac arrest while 20 others received injuries in an armed clash between two groups of Khosos over a minor dispute involving children.

The incident took place in Punhoon Khan Khoso Village near Khoski, 35 kilometres off here on Wednesday evening.

Minor children had quarrelled among themselves who later complained to their parents which enraged the youths. After exchange of hot words, youngsters of both the groups exchanged fire as a result of which Kulsoom, Ahmed Khoso, Ami Khoso died on the spot while Abdullah Khoso succumbed to his injuries at Civil Hospital Badin.

Another villager Mithan Khoso, relative of the deceased Abdullah Khoso, also died of shock. The injured were identified as Mohammad Siddique, Hashim, Rahim, Ms Husna, Ms Amina, Ali Ahmed, Zahid, Ghulam Nabi, Ghulam Hussain, Zakaullah, Noor Khatoon and others.

The injured were rushed at Khoski health care centre and later some of them were referred to Badin and Hyderabad hospitals due to their critical condition. Heavy contingent of police reached the spot and cordoned-off the village to avert further bloodshed.

When contacted DPO Badin Fida Hussain Mastoi said that the situation was under control and three persons were taken into custody. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
