LAHORE, Oct 6: Regional coordination officer/home secretary Nadeem Hassan has ordered setting up of a cell at the district coordination office for monitoring supply of flour to ‘tandoors.’

Presiding over a meeting at the DCO office here on Monday to review the arrangements for supply of quality flour to the `tandoors’ registered under the ‘sasti roti,’ he said the `tandoors’ would be continued supply of 20 kg bags at the rate of Rs245 each. ‘Mohallah committees’ would be constituted to ensure the sale of a roti at the rate of Rs2.

He said the City District Government Lahore would plan to fix the prices of ‘daal’ and vegetable dishes after ensuring the sale of roti at the rate of Rs2. He said the need for controlling the ‘daal’ and vegetable dishes prices had been felt because some ‘tandoor’ owners had raised the prices of the same after reduction in roti prices.
