KARACHI: KU moot on Samma period

KARACHI, Sept 28: The University of Karachi will host a conference on Samma period in the month of November this year. This was announced by a spokesman for the university here on Sunday.

The first event of the series of such conferences was held last year on the Soomra period.

The Department of Sindhi, under the chairpersonship of Dr Khursheed Abbasi, plans to hold the second conference of the series on Samma period (1351-1521) during which renowned scholars will present their papers.

The day-long conference will comprise three sessions.—APP
