House robbery

SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 27: Five robbers looted the house of an expatriate in Dera Khursheed locality on Saturday.

The robbers held Abdul Majeed's family hostage and took away his car, $12,000, Rs200,000 and gold ornaments worth Rs1 million.

Majeed arrived here from America recently to celebrate Eid.

In another incident, two highway robbers deprived a Wapda employee of his Eid salary near Jhamke on Sarghoda Road.

Lesco staffer Shehzad was going to Farooqabad near Jhamke by a motorcycle when two armed men snatched his salary amount to Rs14000.
