ISLAMABAD, Sept 26: Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-i-Mazlumin, or the International Day of Quds Solidarity with the Oppressed, was observed throughout the country with religious zeal and fervour on Jumatul Wida.

Large congregations, protest rallies, demonstrations and meetings were held in all small and big cities and towns, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Addressing these gatherings, Ulema and speakers made it clear that Al-Quds Ash-Sharif is respected not only in the context of Islam but also the whole humanity.

In the twin cities, the rallies were taken out under patronage from the local Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-i-Mazlumin committee of the Tehrik Nifaz Fiqh-i-Jafariya (TNFJ).

TNFJ chief Allama Syed Hamid Ali Moosvi and other office-bearers addressed the rallies.

Participants of the rallies were holding placards and banners inscribed with different slogans like “Struggle will continue till the liberation of Palestine and Kashmir”. —APP
