LAHORE, Sept 24: A Pakistan team comprising four men and one woman will participate in the Syria International Badminton Series to be held in Damascus from Oct 14 to 17.

The players were selected after four days trials held here. The national selection committee headed by Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri with Lt Col Amanat Ali and Tayyab Sohail as members watched the trials.

In the previous Syrian International Series also held in Damascus last year, Pakistan doubles’ pair Mohammad Attique and Rizwan Azam won the gold medal.

The names of the selected players are:

Men: Wajid Ali, Ahsan Qamar, Mohammad Attique, Rizwan Azam.

Woman: Aisha Akram.
