BUNER, Sept 22: Pir Baba police has held one of the three absconding alleged suicide bomber from Pir Baba bazaar early on Monday morning.

The raiding party was headed by the SHO Pir Baba. Soon after arrest, the accused was straight away shifted to Daggar police station due to security reasons.

The detained accused Ajmal Bacha son of Mian Sultanzeb resident of Pacha Kalley, Pir Baba was wanted to police when he along with two other accomplices Afsar Hamid son of Noor Hamid son of Hashim Sar Daggar and another unidentified person made good their escape after an encounter with police at Karakar checkpost, leaving behind two suicide jackets on 16th of this month.

Case against them was registered at Pir Baba police station on 16th of this month and search was underway. The investigation team confided to Dawn that the militant network was busted and hoped arrests would help in exposing all the outlaws within a short span of time.

BODY FOUND: Residents of the area found body of prayer leader of Masjid Bambalai in Rustam near Kabal Cheena area here on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said the body was sprayed with bullets and there were more than 20 marks of wounds on the body. The deceased was a Pesh Imam in Bambalai mosque for the last 18 months and used to teach holy Quran to the residents of the area here in Makee mosque in Shalbandi, locals told this correspondent on phone. —Correspondent
