KARACHI, Sept 22: The Pakistan Railways has decided to run two special trains for passengers intending to go to upcountry areas to celebrate Eid with their families.

Both the trains would run on Sept 29, said a railways official.

Beginning its journey from the cantonment railway station, one Eid train will go to Sargodha via Faisalabad and the other one would head towards Peshawar.

The divisional superintendent of railways, Mir Mohammed Khaskheli, said strict measures had been taken to check black-marketing of tickets during Eid days. He said special vigilance teams headed by divisional officers had been formed to keep a watchful eye on such elements who exploited people on such occasions.

The official staff and police, sometimes involved in black-marketing and overcharging of tickets, was being checked and over a dozen of such cases had been caught and FIRs had been lodged against them for malpractices, he added.—APP
