ISLAMABAD, May 8: The Supreme Court (SC) will begin hearing of appeals filed by Ahmed Omar Saeed Shaikh and other three accused in Daniel Pearl’s murder case here on Thursday.

The bench will comprise Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Shaikh Riaz Ahmed, Justice Mian Muhammad Ajmal and Justice Nawaz Abbassi.

Advocate-General of Sindh Raja Qureshi will appear on behalf of the Sindh Government.

On May 6, the court had refused to stop the proceedings of case in Hyderabad and transfer the hearing back to Karachi.

KM Samdani appeared on behalf of Ahmed Omar Shaikh, while Rai Bashir advocate appeared for Fahad Naseem, Adil Shaikh and Salman Saqib.—APP
