PARACHINAR, Sept 19: Four people were killed and four others injured in sporadic clashes between rival tribes in different areas of the Kurram Agency on Friday.

The Turi and Bangash tribes targeted each other’s positions in Pewar, Tangi, Mengak and Arawali areas with heavy weapons.

Meanwhile, sources said 50 elders each from Turi and Bangash tribes will hold a crucial meeting either in Peshawar or Islamabad on Saturday.

The meeting is likely to discuss opening of the Peshawar-Parachinar road and restoration of peace and harmony in the region.
