Pervaiz’s remarks flayed

Published September 17, 2008

LAHORE, Sept 16: PML-N leader Khwaja Saad Rafique has criticised former chief minister Pervaiz Elahi for his remarks on disqualification of political leadership through court, saying it reflects the latter’s undemocratic approach.

In a statement, he said if the ‘PCO judges’ were free, as was being claimed, they should take notice of Pervaiz’s remarks.

He said the remarks validated the tapes played to the media by the PML-N in which the former chief minister was heard issuing instructions to someone to procure early decision of cases against the Sharifs. — Staff Reporter
