HYDERABAD, Sept 16: The students of Sindh University belonging to the Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF) boycotted classes following an incident in which a driver of the law enforcement agencies hit a photograph of G.M. Syed affixed to a board and damaged it, accidentally, while reversing his vehicle.
Later, a delegation of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation activists met the vice-chancellor and it was revealed that the photograph was damaged by accident.
The university registrar and an official of the law enforcement agencies met with the protesters and said that they held G.M. Syed in high esteem and it was just an accident that the photograph was damaged.
Thereafter the protest was called off.
