Govt school shows zero result

ATTOCK, Sept 15: Results of ninth and 10th classes of the Government Boys High School Mianwala remained zero for last three years despite availability of teaching staff, causing a setback to the career of large number of students.

This was disclosed by the Education Committee of union council Mainwala through a resolution presented in the session of the district council held on Monday.

The resolution said nazim UC Mianwala had reminded headmaster of the school and concerned education authorities for the improvement of the educational standard but, it added, no one paid heed to it.

People of this far-flung area sent their children for education by bearing financial expenses and others hardships but the poor performance of the school has forced them to shift their children to private schools where hefty charged welcome them, the nazim said.

He also expressed concern over increase in the official fares of the use of tractors for agricultural use.

During the session, minority member Yaqoob Maseeh demanded for financial compensation for the all shopkeepers whose CD/video shops had been blown up in the bomb blast on August 24, besides providing financial assistance to the injured in the incident.
