LAHORE, Sept 14: A monitoring cell has been set up at Rescue 1122 Headquarters to monitor management of emergencies across Punjab and maintain equal standard of the service and response time in all districts, a top rescue official said here on Sunday.

In this connection, all control rooms are being monitored through cameras and vehicles through a satellite tracking system, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said at a meeting of districts emergency officers that reviewed the management of emergencies in their districts.

According to a press release issued by Rescue 1122, the purpose of such reviews is to evolve an effective preparedness strategy and improve the performance. — Staff Reporter
