KARACHI: Three killed in road accident

KARACHI, Sept 13: Three people were killed and three others injured early in the morning on Saturday in a head-on-collision between a truck and a pickup at Quaidabad.

The Shah Latif Town police said that three occupants of the pick-up, including the driver, were killed instantly.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where two of the dead were identified as Hussain Bux and Nawaz Ali, residents of Juma Kalmiti Goth in Malir.

The police said the injured were still unconscious.

Elderly man killed

A 70-year-old man was killed over a personal enmity in Bangash Colony, a shantytown in the police limits of North Nazimabad.

Identified as Nabi Hakim, son of Syed Hakim, the victim was stabbed and shot by attackers at his home.

The police said Sajjad Khan, a relative of the victim, lodged a case against Shaheen Khan and his sons for Hakim’s murder.
