KARACHI, Sept 12: Nine ships including Jasper Arrow, a car carrier with 549 units are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Ibn Sina, APL Chicago Soon Fu, Y.M. Initiative with containers and Chemstar Brave, an oil tanker, were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by APL Chicago, Global Progress, Soon Fu Red Sea Spirit and Chemstar Brave, while Noor-e-Madina, New Setokaze, B.W. Captain, Olympia, Nordana and Obs Swathy are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 102,000 tons comprising 46,073 tons of export cargo mainly cement and clinker and 56,210 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Addarraq to load 12,950 tons of molasses, Johar with crude oil, Kapitan Byankin, Cap Akritas, Deja Bhum, Eric G. Gibson with containers, Jasper Arrow with cars and Panama Express with steel coils and general cargo.
