KARACHI, Sept 9: Six ships carrying palm oil, rapeseed and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where seven ships, Hai Vision Bulker to unload wheat, Red Sea Spirit to load cement, Liana to offload containers, Sinar Bintan, Ocean Coral to unload and load general cargo, Bengal Orchid and B.W Capitan, tankers, were accommodated berths.
Three ships, Hyundai Emperor, TeaM Al-Emirates and Sea Kappo departed on Tuesday, while Sinar Bintan, Bengal Orchid, Lalazar, Ocean Coral, Hana, Cape Negro and Oculu are due to sail out on Wednesday.
A total tonnage of 89,290 tons comprising 19,974 tons of export tonnage and 69,316 tons of import cargo was handled on Tuesday.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: New Setokaze with 4,000 tons of palm oil, APL Chicago, Global Progress with containers, Remuleh to load cement, Ocean Project to unload general cargo and Xu Chang Hai with 24,000 tons of rapeseed.
