CM’s cell redresses 5,339 plaints

LAHORE, Aug 6: The CM’s complaint cell at Club Road has disposed of 5,339 applications during August and facilitated hundreds of complainants through open courts.

This was said by Political Secretary to Chief Minister Qamaruz Zaman while talking to media here on Sunday, says a handout.

He said in one month 3,907 people appeared in the complaint cell while 1,432 came with their complaints in open courts.

He said the cell received 3,218 complaints through e-mail, fax and by post. The cell responded to 2,025 applications.

Zaman said during August four sub-inspectors and as many assistant sub inspectors were suspended from service due to inefficiency. A number of cases were registered against land-grabbers after retrieving land of four widows.

He said the chief minister was being briefed on monthly progress of the complaint cell.
