KARACHI, Sept 6: Hyderi Baloch earned their second successive victory in KASB Premier League Football (PLF) when they beat Baloch Mujahid 1-0 at the CDGK Stadium on Friday night.

A missed opportunity in the 21st minute saw Hyderi’s striker Ghulam Farooq failing to convert Badar Qadir’s pass when his powerful shot bounced off the crossbar. Then Baloch Mujahid’s striker Hanif saw his effort going to waste in the 32nd minute thanks to Hyderi’s goalkeeper Murad Bakhsh’s quick reflexes.

The lone goal and match decider happened in the 40th minute when midfielder Ijaz Bhutto scored off a rebound from Ghulam Farooq’s shot that bounced off Mujahid’s goalkeeper Abdul Majeed.

The score at interval was 1-0. The second session saw several other missed chances by both sides as there were no further goals scored.

Yellow cards were also shown to Hyderi’s Riaz Ahmed and Baloch Mujahid’s Jahangir Taj and Mohammad Hanif by referee Dil Murad.

The match had Baloch Mujahid getting a taste of their third continuous defeat after being beaten by Hazara Mohammadan and Ghani XI earlier. Meanwhile, Hyderi Baloch, who beat Lal Bakhsh Memorial by 5-2 in their previous encounter, have six points, putting them in the third spot after Karachi Kickers (nine points) and Shazad Mohammadan (eight points).
