SUKKUR, Sept 6: Sukkur police have arrested 30 suspects during raids in different villages near Rohri, in the backdrop of kidnapping of Syed Tahir Hussain Shah, nephew of Sukkur district Nazim Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, who was reportedly taken away by armed men from Salehpat-Rohri road on late Thursday night.

It may be mentioned here that, following kidnapping of Syed Tahir Hussain Shah along with his driver Manzoor Mahar, strong contingents of police raided different villages of Jatoi, Shar, Jagirani, Chachar and other communities situated in the jurisdictions of Rohri, Dubbar, Sangrar, Salehpat, Mando Dero, Jhangro and other police stations during the wee hours of Friday and Saturday and arrested 30 suspects. Police refused to disclose their names.

On the other hand, due to dispute over jurisdiction between different police stations, no case has so far been registered.
