KARACHI, Sept 5: Adeel Abbasi produced a splendid all-round show for Old Grammarian Society to set up an emphatic eight-wicket victory over NIB Bank in the Aga Khan University Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the AKU Ground on Thursday.

Adeel captured four wickets for 22 runs to restrict NIB Bank for 157-7 in 20 overs.

Shahid Hussain smashed 52 studded with six fours and a brace of sixes.

Old Grammarian Society in reply romped home for the loss of two wickets in 18 overs.

Opener Daniyal Ahsan made 49 with four boundaries and one six and Adeel Abbasi blasted 47 laced with eight boundaries and one six.

In another match, Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed banged a brilliant 76 as Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) beat Ali Sports by 65 runs.

Sarfraz blasted 11 boundaries and a brace of sixes in his 39-ball knock and Fazal-i-Subhan hit six fours and one six in his 57 to power KESC to 198-8 in 20 overs.

Sarfraz and Fazal added 113 runs for the second wicket.

Arif Mahmood hit unbeaten 43 off just 19 deliveries with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.

Ali Sports in response were restricted to 133-7 in 20 overs.
