KARACHI, Sept 3: Nine ships carrying palm oil, chemicals and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Six ships, Team Al-Emirates, Katerina, APL Chicago, Northern Harmony, Chemroad Sun, and Atagun were berthed on Wednesday after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Baron, MOL Ability, Erria Vietnam, Omega King and EcE-A, while APL Chicago, Anna-E, Northern Harmony, and Caribbean Carrier are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage fell to 64,812 tons comprising 30,350 tons of export cargo and 34,462 tons of imports.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hellen, with chemical, Heung–A Pioneer, with 4,000 tons of palm oil, Scorpius, with crude oil, Conti Harmony, APL Jebel Ali, Harmony, Calvin P. Titus, with containers, Obs Swathy, to load cement and CEC Faith, with project cargo.
