Five die as bus falls into ravine

MUZAFFARABAD, Aug 30: At least five persons were killed and 32 others were wounded when a passenger bus fell into a ravine in a hilly area on Saturday.

Police said the accident occurred on the outskirts of Chikar, 50km southeast of here, after the Muzaffarabad-bound bus coming from Dhirkot developed some technical fault.

Five people, died on the spot, were identified as Saddam, Mahmood and Ajmal, brothers; Shahzad and Shoaib.

Of the 32 injured, four were admitted to Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) and were said to be in critical condition.
