KARACHI, Aug 28: The last date for the submission of placement forms for admission to the city’s 123 government colleges expired on Thursday.

Director-general (colleges), Sindh, Prof Rafique Ahmed Siddiqui, who is also chairman of the admission committee formed under the Centralized Admission Policy (CAP), has said that the first list of admission seekers’ placement will be of Home Economics candidates.

He said the list would issued on Aug 30 or 31 and the students would be able to attend their classes much before Sept 15.

Without giving a precise date for the issuance of lists of other faculties, he said the entire process would hopefully be completed before Sept 15 and classes in all faculties would begin by Sept 20.

He said that the authorized bank’s branches issued more than 92,000 placement forms and the committee had, so far, received 80,000 submitted by admission-seekers.—Staff Reporter
