SUKKUR, Oct 24: Corps. Commander Sindh, Lt. Gen.Tariq Waseem Ghazi, visited Jacobabad airbase and reviewed the security arrangements.

He also met the officers of the US force and the Pakistan army officers and held a detailed meeting with them.

This was the first visit of the Sindh Corps Commander after the government handed over the base to the US troops for the logistic support to the US air force operating inside Afghanistan.

ONE KILLED: One person was killed and another injured when a group of dacoits raided village Khan Muhammad Samejo near Daharki late on Tuesday night.

According to details, five armed dacoits attacked the village with the intention of robbery.

The villagers came out and offered resistance and the dacoits opened fire on the villagers as a result which Qaim Samejo died on the spot while Mir Muhammad Samejo got wounded.

The injured was shifted to Rahimyar Khan hospital in a serious condition.

Later the police, after a hot chase, arrested one of the dacoits identified as Ali Sher and recovered a KK rifle and 40 bullets from his possession.

Police said that Ali Sher was involved in the attack on the village.

Investigation was in progress.

TRIBESMAN KILLED: One person of Jatoi tribe was killed and another injured in village Lal Dino near Khanpur, district Ghotki, on Tuesday.

Police sources said that the killing was the result of an old enmity.

Lal Dino, a landlord of the village, was on way to village Pavan Shah when armed men appeared on the scene and opened indiscriminate firing.

As a result Lal Dino died and his friend Ahmed got injured. Pappo Jatoi, father of the deceased Lal Dino lodged an FIR against six persons viz; Sonaro, Amir Bux and Arsalan, Saderuddin and others.

According to police sources, that Jagirani and Jatoi tribes were at war since the last one year and so far 13 people have been killed over an affair related to Karo- kari.
