NAWABSHAH Oct 24: The Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP), arrested 12 defaulters from Naushahro Feroze district, which lies in the Nawabshah Zone, kicking-off a massive campaign to recover the outstanding loans from the influential feudal as well as political figures of the district.
Regional Manager of the ADBP told this correspondent that so far they have arrested atleast 12 defaulters who were deliberately refusing to repay the loans drawn at different times.
The action has been after service of the last reminders.
A team was constituted by the Bank to arrest these defaulters against whom arrest warrants have already been issued. All the defaulters were from District Naushahro Feroze, which falls under the ADBP Nawabshah Zone.
Those arrested included Lala Murid Hyder Shah, brother of Ex-minister Syed Karam Ali Shah, besides Syed Ghulam Murtaza Shah, Hayat Aalmani, Allah Bux Sabqi, Bashir Ahmed Almani, Imam Bux Almani, Syed Noor Nabi Shah, Ali Hassan Khoso, Ghulam Sarwar Chandio, Ghulam Hussain Almani, Allah Jurio Korejo and Buxan Almani. All these defaulters owed Rs4.3 million to the ADBP.
The operation will continue till the recovery of the outstanding amount from the defaulters. It may recalled that the crackdown had been launched on the directive of the federal ministry of finance.
