KARACHI: Bank employee remanded

KARACHI, Aug 26: A civil judge and judicial magistrate, South, on Tuesday remanded a bank cashier in police custody till Aug 29 in a fraud case.

The prosecution said that Faisal Qasim who was working as a cashier in the Muslim Commercial Bank’s Kaghzi Bazaar branch had allegedly made fake cheque books and had withdrawn over Rs1 million from the accounts of Abdul Razzaq and Zulekha.

The FIA crime circle had arrested the accused and registered a case FIR (51/08) under Sections 408, 420, 468, 471 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
