LAHORE, Aug 25: As many as 18 workers sustained injuries, 13 of them critical, when the dilapidated roof of an old factory collapsed on Beco Road in Misri Shah on Monday.

The victims were asleep under iron sheds of the building owned by Mian Majeed at the time of the incident at 5:44am.

Rescue 1122 shifted 13 of the injured to Mayo Hospital. The injured were identified as Imran, Akram, Javed, Shahbaz, Imtiaz, Ijaz, Akram, son of Falak Sher, Riaz, Iqbal, Basharat, Sanaullah, Imtiaz and Khizar Hayyat.
