KARACHI, Aug 24: Speaker of the Sindh Assembly and acting Sindh Governor Nisar Ahmad Khuhro has emphasised the need for paying full attention to the maximum use of information technology, saying that this will help the country keep a respectable place in the comity of nations.

He said the government was doing its utmost to remove all hurdles in the way of the country’s progress and prosperity.

Mr Khuhro was speaking at a ceremony after inaugurating a computer training centre at the Saleh Mohammad Government Urdu Boys School, Lyari.

He said that it was a dream of Benazir Bhutto that Pakistan became a developed country with a high rate of literacy. She always stressed on promoting computer education, he said.

He observed that the future belonged to those having expertise or sufficient knowledge of information technology and, as such, everyone should endeavour to attain maximum possible knowledge in this sector.
