KARAK: Naib nazim ousted

KARAK, Aug 23: A vote of no confidence against the district naib nazim was carried at the district council meeting held here on Saturday. Eighteen votes out of a total of 29 were cast against the naib nazim Advocate Jan Alam. The meeting was presided over by Mufti Mohammad Hayat.

Ten nazims belonging to Jan Alam group remained absent from the meeting.

As per details, Mufti Hayat informed the meeting that the supreme court had deputed him as presiding officer while DCO Karak Javed Ahmad Khan as supervisor for the vote of no confidence against the naib nazim. The vote was held through a secret ballot.
