LONDON, Aug 21: Baloch diaspora from Australia, America, Scandinavian countries, Europe and the Gulf states which gathered here for a two-day deliberation this week has decided to establish a Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC).

A Press release issued by interim committee of the council here on Thursday said that the BHRC to be based in London would address the aggregated gross human rights violations in Balochistan by both Iran and Pakistan with special focus on a) human rights, b) land rights to indigenous Baloch populace, c) release of political detainees, d) forceful disappearance of Baloch political and human rights activists, e) promotion of Balochi language as medium of instruction, f) summary executions of Baloch youth, g) Baloch control over natural resources of Balochistan, h) recognition of Baloch culture and heritage, I) freedom of thought and religion, J) Stopping tests of nuclear weapons in Balochistan and, k) growth of religious extremism and terrorism.
